As part of her doctoral research, Karla Parra is currently in Nijmegen, Netherlands, working with Professor Sjors Witjes from Radboud University. During this internship, Karla will integrate Circular Economy practices into the design and optimization of the collective postharvest transformation model she is developing in the cocoa agri-food chain. Furthermore, Karla will identify strategies to enhance the chain sustainability while integrating the optimization and simulation models she developed into the decision-making processes of the stakeholders involved.
